DOFA is the focal agency which collaborates with other relevant agencies to administer foreign organisations and individuals, and deals with issues relating to them in Da Nang.

Administrative procedures relating to foreigners under the duties of DOFA:

- Procedures for requesting visa issuance, supplements and modifications for foreigners working for projects in Da Nang authorised by the Da Nang People’s Committee and other relevant departments and agencies;

- Procedures for the certification of driving licence renewals for foreigners working in foreign non-governmental organisations and foreign consular offices in Da Nang;

- Procedures for dealing with traffic accidents involving foreigners (DOFA’s staff members will go to the accident scenes, contact and coordinate with the city police, contact the embassies of the foreign victims, and give support and guidance on relevant administration procedures);

- Procedures for dealing with deaths of foreigners in Da Nang;

- Procedures for granting permits to organise conferences or seminars involving foreign matters;

- Procedures for non-governmental organisations to apply for operating licences, to open project offices, and to register operations in Da Nang.
