Located in the centre of Da Nang, Han Market is one of the city’s largest markets.  It covers an area which encompasses four separate streets, comprising Hung Vuong Street, Tran Phu Street, Tran Hung Dao Street and Bach Dang Street.  Han Market is a popular destination for tourists.

The market was first established sometime during the 1940s by a group of traders.  It is now home to 576 stalls and 36 kiosks, and a wide variety of goods including footwear, clothes, fabric, bags and souvenirs is traded here all day long.  The two-floor structure and well-ordered display of goods make it one of the more accessible and relatively stress-free markets.

Han Market is well-known for its live and fresh seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables as well as local specialities, most notably “mam” products (fish sauce/paste).  It is emerging as a “must see” attraction for international cruise ship passengers and tourists whilst they are visiting the city.
